Ready to feel strong? But don’t know the difference between a split or sumo squat?

Don’t sweat. We’ve all been there! Get ready to ‘Begin with strength’.

‘Begin with strength’ is our brand NEW 14-step series in the Kic app. By the time you’ve finished this series, you’ll have the basic movements covered and feel ready to workout with confidence. Series’ are designed to be completed at your own pace, like Netflix but for wellness!

Getting started is tough, but with a focus on mindset, our trainer Sami is here to take the weight off strength training. Read on to find out everything you need to know about our new beginner strength series.

So, what is ‘Begin with strength’?

Join our body confidence coach & strength trainer, Sami for a 14 step series to learn about your different muscle groups, build strength and gain confidence to Kic’start healthy habits! These sessions range from 5-20 minutes long, making it easier for you to fit in your day. Throughout the series you’ll be introduced to a range of different strength exercises, targeting your full body, core and lower body.

What equipment will I need?

For ‘Begin with strength’, you’ll need a set of dumbbells and a box or bench. Don’t have those? No worries! You can substitute the dumbbells for two heavy drink bottles and a bench/box for a stable surface like a chair or couch. One workout will include the option for a booty band if you’ve got one!

Can I know a bit more about the trainer, Sami?

Sami is a Certified Personal Trainer, Registered Counsellor, Online Coach & Kic’s match made in heaven! Her goal is to motivate + inspire people all across the world to live a healthier, happier and more confident life. You can check out Sami’s feel-good energy and confidence boosting tips here.

Series, programs and masterclasses - what’s the difference?

We’ve got so many flexible workout options for you in the Kic app, here’s the difference between them all:

Series is a collection of classes curated by experts to help improve mindset and Kic’ start healthy habits. Programs are PT style breakdowns/runs sequenced to achieve a particular goal eg. running 5km, being able to deadlift a certain weight etc.

Masterclasses are one off 5-30 minute classes in various workout styles so you can find movement to suit your mood.

How can I get started?

Make sure your Kic app is updated to the latest version, open the ‘explore’ page, head to ‘series’ and you’ll find ‘Begin with strength’ ready to go! No need to enrol, simply starting the first session enrols you in the series.
