To find out what stretch Pilates actually is and how to best find your flow with our new style, we asked our Pilates queen (AKA Kic trainer) Christina some Q’s!

Yoga, mobility and stretch Pilates… what’s the difference?

These stretch pilates sessions are all about feeling longer and more open in your body. They combine some elements of mobility, along with the flowing pace of a Pilates session. The main difference between our yoga sessions and stretch Pilates is the absence of a spiritual aspect. Mobility focuses more on the functional stretches and recovery of particular movements.

What are the benefits of stretch Pilates?

Stretch Pilates will help you feel softer and longer. These sessions will help to calm your mind and body all in one, with a strong focus on form and technique, it’s a great way to feel more connected and present in your body. It’s the perfect class to ease into your day or to wind down with before bed.

Who is stretch Pilates good for?

Stretch Pilates is for everyone! It’s great for newbies who are looking for something beginner-friendly to follow without too much intensity. It’s also so beneficial for those who are more advanced in their movement, giving your body a chance to open up and slow down.

What can I expect in a stretch Pilates session?

You can expect to flow through shapes that are going to leave you feeling taller and more supple. Using Pilates principals and repertoire to bring movement and find release in your whole body.
