It’s been a long three months, but I’m so excited to say that Josh and I are expecting our second baby. What’s also so special, is that Harvey is going to be a big brother.

I’ve been so excited to tell you all, we are just so over the moon! It was a big decision for Josh and I to continue growing our family, but we are so happy and can’t wait to see our little family grow. It’s not lost on me how fortunate we were to have had another smooth ride in falling pregnant. I know how devastating and bumpy that road can be for others. Sending my love to anyone going through fertility challenges right now.

For this pregnancy, we’ve decided to keep the gender a surprise. It adds even more anticipation and fun as we imagine how life will change with this new little one, and Harvey loves to keep guessing if he’s going to have a little brother or sister.

The first trimester has definitely been a bit of a rollercoaster. I’ve been feeling pretty wiped out with nausea and low energy – this pregnancy has been so different to my one with Harvey. My entire pregnancy with Harvey was during COVID lockdowns, so there was a bit more flexibility with my days and I was lucky to be comfortable at home for most of it. So adding in all of life’s other exciting things has been challenging this time of round, but I wouldn’t change it at all.

I’m really leaning into what my body needs right now – more rest, fewer expectations. Movement is such an important part of my life, but I’m putting myself first and taking the pressure off when I need a break. It’s a reminder that self-care looks different at every stage!
