Steph’s fave gym sessions

If you only have 20-30 minutes for a gym session, trust me, that’s all you need to get those feel-good endorphins flowing!

For me, there is nothing more empowering than smashing out a session at the gym and I’ve loved strength training for the longest time. Feeling strong, empowered and confident is something we all deserve to feel when we enter the gym. Nothing feels as good as feeling strong in my books.

Strength workouts do carry loads of benefits for our body and mind. From building strong bones, strengthening your joints and improving your heart health – there’s no doubt that strength training can be beneficial for you long-term!

We know so many of you have been loving our Lift Program and our Express Lift program in the gym, but I also know first hand that sticking to a program can be hard work. With juggling mum life with little Harvey and everything in between with Kic, sometimes a program isn’t a realistic commitment – and that’s okay!

In case you missed the news, we recently launched some brand new gym sessions in the app – they’re just like our gym program workouts, but you can do them once off! We love. Whether you want to work that lower body or you’re craving an upper body burn, choose from 15 x targeted workouts that fit with you.

So, for times when I’m not looking to follow a gym program, these are my favourite gym sessions I often come back to in the Kic app:

Barbell brigade

This is an epic full body session where all you basically need is a barbell! So find your corner/some space in the gym, and flow through the entire session without having to worry about moving around to every corner of the gym!

Chest, tris and shoulder sesh

An absolute sizzler of an upper body session – I feel so powerful after this one! You’ll need 20-30 minutes for this one.

Legs of steel

This one is one of our longer gym sessions, so allow 40-60 mins pending on how much rest you like to take… but it is possibly my FAVOURITE lower body workout out of them all!! Warning… you may hate me a day or two after your session because the pain of getting on and off the toilet is REAL!
