This is literally the simplest cake ever, just combine your ingredients together in a microwave safe container – we love using a mug as it’s so easy to hold while rugged up on the couch watching a movie – and then pop it in the microwave for around a minute. Depending on how you like your mug cakes, the less time you cook it for, the gooier the inside will be.
From time to time we also like to add a few toppings with our personal faves being strawberries, banana or a little scoop of peanut butter, but the world is truly your oyster when it comes to toppings!

Cooking Notes
To make this gluten free simply use gluten free flour instead of regular plain flour.
Step 1
In a medium-sized mug, whisk together coconut oil, milk, vanilla extract, coconut sugar and cacao powder for 10 seconds, or until smooth. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and chocolate chips, then gently stir to combine.
Step 2
Microwave your cake for 50-60 seconds, and enjoy!
