Meet Alicia Taylor, one of our amazing community members. Alicia has been a part of the Kic community for almost three years now. Kic has taught Alicia the joy of food and cooking again after a unhealthy relationship with eating during COVID lockdowns. Alicia has learnt that confidence stems from how you feel, not how you look, and has found an amazing supportive community through Kic.
How do you use Kic in your daily life?
I use the recipes all the time to help meal plan for my family, as well as both Laura’s treadmill master classes and run program to help keep me motivated with my running.
What has Kic taught you?
Kic has taught me to love myself for who I am and to not compare myself to others my own journey is mine and no one else’s.
Can you share a memorable experience or achievement you've had while using Kic?
Thanks to the running program, not only do I love running and being fit but it’s given me something to do with my son! Kic has helped me start his journey too with fitness and self-love.
Could you describe a challenging moment in your health and fitness journey and how Kic helped you overcome it?
Coming out of the lockdowns in Melbourne I had developed an unhealthy relationship with food and my meals. I wasn’t eating properly and when I did I was binge eating and eating the wrong foods and not loving my body. Thanks to the Kic, I now have a love of food, cooking, feeding my body and loving to feed it!
How do you feel Kic sets itself apart from other health and fitness programs or apps you've tired in the past?
Kic feels non-judgmental and so inclusive. It’s a community, not just an app, where you can find friends and support when you are looking for it.
Have you found any unexpected or surprising benefits or results from using Kic that you didn't anticipate when you first started?
I’ve found confidence that I didn’t have before in myself and my abilities. I’ve also found confidence in my own body and loving how I look the way that I am.

Shannon has been KIC’ing it since the very beginning and has transformed the way she feels about her body and feels more confident and happy in her own skin.
Before starting KICRUN, Keely never saw herself as a runner, let alone actually enjoy running! However, despite a recent autoimmune diagnosis, having the motivation to start running has helped her journey towards proving to herself SHE IS a runner.
Alicia began her running journey with KIC back in 2020 so she could prove to herself she is a runner!
