Kic’s feel-good checklist

2025 is the year we are feeling GOOD, Kic Squad! Forget the fad diets, the toxic trends and unsustainable expectations – this year we’re saying ‘no’ to anything that makes us feel meh, prioritising whatever makes us feel really effing good.

Before you continue reading… a little reminder: You are already enough, just as you are – you don’t need to change, shrink, or chase huge goals to be worthy.

But how can we prioritise feeling good? And what does that actually mean? Here’s our Kic-approved checklist to Kic’ start 2025 in the best way possible.

Speak to yourself like you would a friend

Don’t you remember your Nanna teaching you “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all”? Well it’s time to take Nan’s advice and apply it to yourself. Think of the negative self-talk you may tell yourself and imagine saying that to a friend – you simply couldn’t right? This is your reminder to be kinder yo your mind and body, you are enough just as you are.

Move in ways that feel-good

Sometimes we can have this negative perception that working out has to be a punishment on our bodies… which sounds so ridiculous, right?! This year, focus on movement types that bring you joy and fill your cup. Whether that’s scheduling in a morning walk with your bestie, rolling out your mat for a Pilates flow with Christina, or boosting those endorphins with a HIIT workout – pick what makes you feel good! When you enjoy your workouts, you’ll be more likely to look forward to it and want to keep it up – we love sustainable workout habits!

Declutter your digital space

Start the year fresh by organising your digital life. Delete unused apps, clean up your photo library, unfollow toxic AF accounts and unsubscribe from emails that no longer serve you. A tidy digital space can create a sense of calm and make it easier to focus on what truly matters.

Practice letting go of what you can’t control

Life will always throw challenges our way, but not everything is within our power to change. By focusing your energy on what you can influence and letting go of what you can’t, you free yourself from unnecessary stress and find more peace in your day. Try the ‘Learning to Let Go’ meditation in the Kic app with Meg.

Set aside 5 minutes to journal before bed

Take a few moments at the end of your day to reflect. Whether it’s jotting down your thoughts, listing things you’re grateful for, or planning for tomorrow, journaling can help you unwind and sleep better while fostering mindfulness and clarity. Try and journal in a physical notebook to help reduce your screen time before bed but Apple’s new ‘Journal’ app can be a great option if that works better for you!

Protect your energy by embracing saying ‘no’

Your time and energy are precious. It’s okay to say ‘no’ to things that don’t align with your goals or bring you joy. Setting boundaries isn’t selfish – it’s self-care, allowing you to focus on what truly matters to you.

Find joy in the little things

Happiness often hides in the simplest moments. It’s cheesy, but true! A morning coffee, Face-timing a friend, or a beautiful sunset. It’s all about finding the little ‘glimmers’ in your day. Taking time to appreciate these small joys can uplift your mood and make every day a feel-good day.
