To celebrate the launch of our Express Lift Program, we invited some of our community down to experience the workouts first hand.
Community member, Jess, came along as she had always felt overwhelmed and intimidated by the gym and wanted to change this mindset. Jess has kindly shared her story with the community and has been following our Express Lift program – and she’s not looked back since.
Here’s what Jess had to say …
“Week 1 of the new Express Lift challenge done and dusted for me – what an incredible yet truly humbling start (Let’s just say that sitting down requires a three-point turn right now!).
I was lucky enough to be one of the community members involved in the most recent shoot and launch of the Express Lift program. I can’t express how nervous I was being invited to join in the shoot, as I’ve always felt such overwhelm and intimidation when it comes to even stepping foot in the gym, let alone the imposter syndrome making me question ‘who the hell do I think I am being here!?
There’s always been two struggles for me:
Working alongside Danny on the day of the shoot has completely changed my mindset in a way I could never have imagined. I feel empowered to walk into a gym on my own terms, with the support and guidance of a bloody phenomenal program developed by the Kic team.
More than this – I know I’m not alone. We are so much more capable than we give ourselves credit for, and having the privilege of working with the beautiful humans that are behind the new iteration of the Express Lift program has given me new found belief in what my body is capable of.
So here’s a reminder: you DESERVE to take up space! The gym can be a safe place for all of us, it just takes the right tools, support and program. I would love to see who else is jumping on this challenge with me, and how you’re feeling at the end of week one!”
