30 Lessons from Head Trainer Danny

Hey legends!  Last week I turned 30, so I wanted to share a few lessons I’ve learnt along the way up until this point.

I genuinely never thought my life would look like this, and I’m extremely grateful for everything I’ve experienced along the way that’s helped me evolve into the person I am today.

Back in school I used to think 30 was old AF lol, now I’m 100% certain that I’m only just getting started.

  1. Everything happens for a reason. You may not be able to see it yet, but things are always happening for you and not to you. The ‘worst’ things that have happened in my life were all necessary for the greatest things to be received 
  2. Failure will teach you more about yourself than winning/success does – second to that, you literally can not lose if you don’t stop trying
  3. We are only limited to the restrictions we put on ourselves mentally – We are all products of what we’ve been exposed to and our ability it normalise bigger ways of thinking 
  4. Our parents deserve way more credit than they get, I am extremely grateful to have 2 incredible parents who have done more for me than I could ever repay them for 
  5. What you put out into the world is what comes back to you – think of your actions and energy like a boomerang 
  6. What you focus on, is what you get more of – this works for both positives and negatives (focus ONLY on what you do want)
  7. Discipline is required to see success in anything in life, it’s one of the few things in life that you always have control over. You either follow through with your commitments or you don’t
  8. Everyone that comes into your life is there for a reason
  9. Attachment to outcomes or people is the main cause of anger, frustration or pain, without the attachment we get to experience everything what it is and become present 
  10. You can drastically change your life when you begin to think illogically, remove limiting beliefs and get intentional about your thoughts and actions daily 
  11. Nothing in life matters if we don’t have our health, all wealth starts with health 
  12. We are not our bodies, we are the consciousness/awareness that’s experiencing life through a human body
  13. You will have a handful of close friends that will be in your life long-term, these friendships should be cherished 
  14. Motivation will always come and go, it will never be there permanently, but habits will always trump motivation 
  15. Hurt people, hurt people – We project onto others how we feel about ourselves. Suppressed pain, insecurities, trauma, low self-worth… these tend to all be deflected by poor behaviour towards others until we are willing to sit with our own thoughts and do the deep inner work on ourselves 
  16. You can do anything you want if you’re willing to do the work and make the necessary sacrifices 
  17. Consistency is the most underrated yet impactful factor of success in life 
  18. Money doesn’t buy happiness, but neither does not having enough of it. Think of money as an energy, it’s no different to food or water, it’s always there to support you in whatever you do  and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting it or having lots of it. The best way to think of your relationship with money is to imagine you’re in a relationship with it… would your partner hang around long-term or be happy if your attachment to them was the same way as you think, speak and act on money? 
  19. We have a choice every day on what kind of reality we want to attract. Playing the victim will get you nowhere in life. Negativity, just like positivity is a choice 
  20. Everything in your life is YOUR responsibility, not everything is your fault, but how you respond is ALWAYS your responsibility 
  21. Time is one of our most valuable assets, stop wasting it. Don’t wait until tomorrow to do something that could be done today. We are all ticking time bombs, literally every day that goes by is 1 less that we have left
  22. It’s never too late to change your life 
  23. Confidence comes through action, not talking about action 
  24. You will never find fulfilment in life until you can feel happiness without needing anything or anyone to experience it 
  25. Meditation and intention is the key to creating the life you want
  26. Finding someone you truly love is the greatest feeling anyone can experience 
  27. Every single person on this planet desires (and deserves) to feel wanted, valued and appreciated 
  28. Gratitude and vulnerability are superpowers – master them both and you’ll have an incredible life 
  29. I’ve been successful because of the countless times I’ve lost or experienced failures and setbacks. 
  30. Living your life based off the opinions of others will lead to a life of unhappiness, stress and a lack of authenticity. When you live in alignment with your true self, life flows and presents you with more abundance than you could have ever imagined
